WE NEED YOUR HELP

Northern Virginia Citizens Association, has filed a request for Expedited Consideration on a Preliminary Injunction against 495 and the Court agreed to hear it this Friday.  This is our last chance as their strategy to grind down our funds is working.

We need everyone we can get to show up at the courthouse!!!

It may be a little bit out of your way, but it’s vital to all of us.

WHEN: Friday, April 7 at 10 am

WHERE: Albert V. Bryan U.S. Courthouse

401 Courthouse Square, Alexandria, VA 22314

·       Courtroom 700 (7th floor)

OTHER NOTES:

TRY TO ARRIVE AT 9:30 am to make sure you have time to get through security and up to the courtroom

BUT PLEASE COME EVEN IF YOU’RE LATE !

Bring babies, strollers, grandpa’s…we are a real community that is being ravaged. If you come and go, and kids get restless, or cry…that’s great. We are a real community suffering. We MUST show them citizens versus Goliath.

Parking: There are several public parking lots nearby on Eisenhower Ave and Ballenger Ave.

Other:  Cell phones, Apple watches, ear buds, pagers, laptops, cameras, tape recorders and all other electronic devices are absolutely prohibited. You need to leave them at home or in the car. There is nowhere to store them at the courthouse and you will not be admitted if you try to enter with them.

I ask that anyone who can, please come!!  AND bring friends, ask members to attend…anything you can to help us FILL the court house!! Transurban & VDOT has a strategy to pack meetings, parking lots, and hearing with their staff so that citizens are out numbered. This is our last chance on the VA border. Our Attorneys from Earth & Water say it is critical to have maximum attendance.

Help Protect Our Community

The Virginia Department of Transportation is moving forward with their “495 NEXT” project. They have been polluting the air harming our children, tearing down endangered trees, bald eagle nesting locations, national parks and is taking property from members of our community in order to build more express lanes which will be inaccessible to everyday citizens, costly leaving a burden on tax payers, and decimate our environment and community

Help us stop the Virginia Department of Transportation from moving forward with this project, a project which is personally profitable to those in charge, harming our children and community members and destroying the beauty of Virginia
